Employment at Estes Park LT

Employment through YMCA of the Rockies is required for participation in EP LT.

You are required to complete two applications for this Program: the Collegiate LT assessment with Reliant and the application for employment at the YMCA of the Rockies. Acceptance as an employee of the YMCA is mandatory for participation in the Program.

Work requirement

Full-time work is part of the LT environment

As part of the Program, and as part of the employment agreement with the YMCA, each participant is required to work a full-time, 40-hour work week job. This provides an environment for meeting people, building natural relationships, and developing skills students will be learning throughout the summer.

How does employment at the YMCA work?

The YMCA of the Rockies - Estes Park Center employs all of our participants and houses them in their dorms. The YMCA pays at least Colorado minimum wage for a 40-hour work week. Each week, a portion called the Rocky Mountain Living Package is applied to pay for food and housing.

Why employment matters

Much of the LT Program is your employment with our partner in Estes Park. A full-time job as part of LT provides a place for you to earn money while in the program, and being hired by the Y is a required part of LT.

How do I apply?

You can apply online for a job with the YMCA of the Rockies at their employment site. The YMCA makes employment decisions directly, so students should complete the YMCA process carefully and promptly.

Have questions about EP LT employment?

Acceptance into LT does not guarantee YMCA employment. Students need to complete both the Reliant assessment and the YMCA employment process.
